3D Classics: Kid Icarus Coming Soon to eShop

By Kevin on Dec 03 2011 01:45 PM
Remember Pit? He's our little angelic arrow-shooting hero who is the main character that stars in Kid Icarus, debuting for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1987. Yeah, that's quite a while ago, right? Well, in his defense, his solitaire, hard-as-heck title was ported to the Wii's Virtual Console in 2007 as well. Today, there is good news for Kid Icarus fans who happen to own a Nintendo 3DS.

Not only is Kid Icarus coming to the Nintendo 3DS eShop, but it's coming in force. It's 3D and it has also received a much needed facelift. Thank goodness we won't be seeing that single-colored plain back-drop, as used in the original title. I'm quite certain that Nintendo re-vamped the graphics to provide better, more appreciated 3D-esque to the game. I mean, imagine how much 3D depth you would experience if that solid black back-drop was ported over as well. The answer is simple. It wouldn't even be worth the experience.

Check out how beautiful 3D Classics: Kid Icarus is now. I hope nothing other than the textures change, not even the level of difficulty.

There's a scheduled release date for sometime in January, but the exact date has not been confirmed.
