Ambassador Game Boy Advance Lineup Official...Almost

By Kevin on Dec 15 2011 05:11 AM
Many of us may have forgotten about those 10 freebie Game Boy Advance Ambassador titles that Nintendo promised us early 3DS buyers. Well, just recently, Nintendo has announced that those ten titles will become available for download this Friday, December 16th. The notice went out to the Europe and Japan region via SpotPass notification. Although the North American region has not officially received that notice (I just checked), I'd expect that we'll be seeing those titles this Friday as well. I mean, why wouldn't we?

Here's the list of the 10 free Game Boy Advance Ambassador titles:
  • Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
  • F-Zero: Maximum Velocity
  • Kirby & The Amazing Mirror
  • Mario Kart: Super Circuit
  • Mario Vs. Donkey Kong
  • Metroid Fusion
  • The Legend Of Zelda: The Minish Cap
  • Wario Land 4
  • Wario Ware, Inc: Mega Microgame$
  • Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3
This lineup looks pretty fantastic and I'm looking forward to playing all of them.

For those of you who forgot what the 1st wave titles consisted of, here they are:
  • Balloon Fight
  • Donkey Kong Jr.
  • Ice Climber
  • Mario Open Golf
  • Metroid
  • Super Mario Bros.
  • The Legend of Zelda
  • Wrecking Crew
  • Yoshi's Egg
  • Zelda: Adventures of Link
Beggars can't be choosers, I know, but I really wished that one of these NES titles could have been swapped with Super Mario Bros. 3 instead.

All in all, the new, upcoming titles should keep us fairly busy throughout the remainder of the year and into the next.

Well, now it is, anyway. I had a blast playing the F-Zero game just now.
Wow, that's just weird. Did Nintendo just completely neglect from sending out the SpotPass notification to North American users?
before I sold all my GBA games I had the actual game cartridge for a couple of those games on the ambassador GBA list.

I received my SpotPass notification about 4 hours ago.
LOL!

So, when Chris gave the heads up I downloaded my GBA titles and started playing them. I received my SpotPass notification almost 12 hours after that.

I've been playing Mario vs. Donkey Kong. I've never played that game until now. It's pretty fun.
