Angry Birds Trilogy Takes Flight This September

The early bird doesn't always get the worm, does it? In this case, I believe it's the other way around. Video game publisher Activision is publishing a new Angry Birds title called Angry Birds Trilogy, which will be released on September 25th of this year. Angry Birds Trilogy will migrate to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo 3DS. Please don't tell me you didn't see that coming. I mean, it was inevitable, wasn't it? It's a fact, nine out of ten gamers have the "Angry Bird" flu. Trilogy will include three individual versions; Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Rio.

Compared to the 700+ levels featured in the mobile versions for Android and iOS, Angry Birds Trilogy falls way short with only 19 exclusive levels. In addition to these levels, DLC (downloadable content) will also become available. The good news, though, is that 3DS owners will be able to fling their feathered fowl through the air in 3D using their stylus and PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners will be able to use motion controls to flip their birds. The retail price for the 3DS version will be $29.99 and the console version, for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, will be priced at $39.99.
