You can now eat Animal Crossing: New Leaf!

Takara Tomy — a Japanese entertainment company responsible for manufacturing popular video game-related toys and various lines of children's merchandise — have added some new treats to their product lineup. Amazon of Japan is now selling their Animal Crossing: New Leaf (とびだせ どうぶつの森) cider-flavored gummy candies. Yummy!

Each gummy candy is branded with the iconic and popular Animal Crossing "Leaf" and comes attached to one of twenty different collectible cards. Each card features a popular character found in the newest Animal Crossing: New Leaf video game — the latest installment in the Animal Crossing series, available only on the Nintendo 3DS.

Curse you and your awesome swag, Japan! *shakes fist enviously*

I really wish more media in English regions was marketed as CRAAAAAAAZY as media in Japan is. I mean, not only are there little toys and stuff, but Japan also gets themed food of their favourite franchises. Freakin' themed yakisoba, man!
This is awesome. Japan has some great candies/treats dedicated to video games. I saw some for Professor Layton as well. I love me some Animal Crossing and these would be great to try.
We're still waiting on the announcement from Kevin that he's buying these for all of us. ::Laughs:: Let's not lose hope!

It's really cool, how even just hearing that these exist, it makes me smile.

Japanese gummy candies have a unique texture. Less rubbery than the western counterparts, they're really delicious. I mean, I can't speak for all gummies made in Japan — I'm certainly no expert — but there are these kiwi ones with the little kiwi seeds inside of them that are life-changing. Japanese candy is the best candy.
That's cool! I wanna try them!

I did, I did! I immediately ordered these after hearing about them: for everyone here! You'll just have to, uh, enjoy them vicariously via beautiful digital imagery. I should have them no later than Monday, Japan time!
