During this morning's Nintendo 3DS Direct, a brand new Zelda game has been announced for the 3DS. This new Zelda game takes place in the same game world as The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, which was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) over 20 years ago on April 13, 1992. The developers behind the game combine the flat 2D world of A Link to the Past with the 3D depth capabilities of the 3DS to bring an all-new and exciting adventure.

A new storyline, along with all-new dungeons, will be introduced. One special feature that has been revealed about this game is Link's ability to walk through walls by becoming a "drawing." By walking through the walls, the player (Link) can take advantage of new viewpoints to discover hidden secrets and passages found within dungeons and various other places. You can expect to see this new Zelda adventure game in retail and 3DS eShop form this holiday season.

Also, if you have a 3DS, the eShop has a 3D video of this game, which really shows off the depth, gameplay, and music. You should check it out!

This game seems like it is just what the fans wanted. It has an original story and it is taking Zelda back to it's routes. Having it be in the world of a Link to the Past is really fun and interesting. Now if Nintendo would only have Zelda A Link to the Past on Wii U virtual console so that I can complete it before this game is released!

I also can't wait for my work shift to end so I can see the trailer in 3D. Lastly, his hair color! Oh my word his hair color and style was surely pulled from early games! :)
For me who haven't played "A Link to the Past" it was a bit strange to see Link from bird's view after watching the 3D trailer...
But I'm eagerly waiting for the game to come out :)
It will be awesome, I'm shure.
I have never played a Zelda Game before but boy i sure CAN NOT wait for this game it looks SOOO fun!
Oh my...I am going crazy for this game.  I haven't been in the eshop in some time so I will have to now just to check out the video.  This game sounds like a brilliant addition to the Zelda games.  Walking through walls, that should be interesting....
