Mario Tennis Open Has Yoshi Fever (All QR Codes)

Gotta Catch 'Em All! Oh, oops...

Mario Tennis Open was released on May 20th, 2012 (my birthday) for the Nintendo 3DS. This fun-hearted, yet intense sports title features a vast amount of in-game content, such as unlockables, and a great collection of playable characters to choose from. By meeting certain conditions within the game, some of these characters become unlocked. Others can be obtained by scanning for "secretly placed" QR (Quick Response) Codes, using the game's QR Code scanning feature. In order to use the QR Code scanner, you will need to press (Up and Start) while viewing the “select a file” screen. Once the scanner is displayed on your top screen, all that is left is to find an appropriate QR Code and align it with the QR Code scanner.

Nintendo have been slowly, but surely releasing playable, multi-colored Yoshi's by way of a virtual scavenger hunt. However, you can’t just aimlessly travel around the Internet and scan all the codes you see. Nintendo is being strategic as to when each of the colored Yoshis are distributed for each of the regions. Resultantly, scanning a QR Code that is not applicable for a certain region will simply not work. Now, lucky for you, we have done the leg work so you can just reap the benefits. Below, you will find all available QR Codes for the North American, Europe/ Australia and Japan.

Playable characters are not all that’s in store for Mario Tennis Open. The very first QR Code released in North America unlocked a Yoshi costume for your in-game Mii character. This beloved Mushroom Kingdom character is really getting his time in the spotlight. There are many more “empty” costume slots available in the game, which can only mean more is yet to come! For all we know, Yoshi is just the beginning! Please make sure to check back from time to time, as this article will be updated with all the newest QR Codes, as they become available!

This came out amazingly. What a team. Love it. I just got black but really want white. Lol. Black and White had been a pretty big theme for Nintendo this year, lol.

This "little" graphic project turned out to be quite a ride for me. I'm not going to mention how long these took, but I can assure you that there's nothing else like them on the Internet. I'm still not satisfied with the final result for these graphics, so I might revise them at some point. And I agree. We've been producing some top-notch content lately. Hopefully, we can keep that going. Great job on the article, aquizero. Go TEAM!

While my copy of Mario Tennis Open has already arrived, and sitting comfortably inside my PO Box, I'm going to retrieve it tomorrow so I can start playing. I can't wait.
Look at the colors shown on this image. I think it is from Yoshi's Story. OMG... wait, is Nintendo trying to hint at a new Yoshi's Story game? Hmmm.... I wonder. Also, it looks like we still have a few colors they could possibly release.

I love Yoshi's Story sooo much! this has to be like my 3rd favorite game!
Well I mean I am not sure what else it could mean releasing all the colors from the Yoshi Story game. So if I am right, you will be a very happy man.
Looking at all the Yoshis in that picture, and comparing them to the current available QR Code Yoshis, purple and green remain. We won't see green because that's already the standard color for the in-game Yoshi character. My guess, is that a Purple Yoshi will be revealed soon. :yoshi:

I do not mean to be a punk but I think you may need better glasses. How could you miss orange? Lol.

That, my friend, will never happen. Well... unless Yoshi can use the "star":item like Mario then I could see him turning rainbow for a short period of time.

Hmm...I guess I'm not sure where to look then. I've combed this over about 5 times trying to find the orange one. Where are you looking?

Speaking of smilies...I need to work on that. There are some that just shouldn't be here. Some of them carried over from our software conversion.

I think I'm going to try and scan all my Yoshis today. I know each one has its own special ability, but I'm not sure which has what. Does anyone know?
Some are Defensive, Tricky and Powerful.
I'd like to know specifically though.
Red Yoshi - Technique
blue Yoshi - Speed
Light Blue Yoshi - Speed
Yellow yoshi - Power
Pink Yoshi - Technique
black Yoshi - All Around
White Yoshi - tricky
Thanks, Ironwolfxv! This is exactly what I was looking for.I've updated the article to show the ability for each Yoshi. :awesome:
omg I thought i was loosing it for a second there. I saw the post you made kevin (from my mobile) about you not seeing an orange one and when i pulled up the image the orange one wasnt there. only now that i am online i look at the feed again and realize what you did! you trickster! :yoshi:
I knew I'd get you with that.

Also, I just scanned all of the Yoshis. The only one we're missing in North America now is White Yoshi, Orange Yoshi and perhaps Purple Yoshi. We have the most legible QR Codes anywhere on the Internet. I made them myself with special tools I acquired from hours of research. :D
I know this more than anyone! That is why, you sir, are the bomb-diggity!
I wasn't trying to brag about our codes. Well, OK, you got me. I am damn proud of them. Also, we're not the only ones who like them. Of course, this would have never even been possible if it weren't for your article, because I wouldn't have done it. See where I'm going here?

Friend Codes also likes the article!
