Capcom Community Manager Brett Elston has just announced that the classic Mega Man titles 1 through 6 are headed to the North American eShop. Each of these six titles were released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

On December 27th, the original Mega Man will be available in the North American 3DS eShop. Mega Man 2 will follow on February 7th, 2013 and the other four classic Mega Man titles will become available in "regular intervals" throughout the remainder of 2013.

To any Mega Man fan in the North American region, this is great news. No official price has been announced for these titles, but we've asked Brett ourselves. Hopefully, he'll reveal the price to us soon. The Japanese 3DS eShop has already received all six of these classic Mega Man titles.

I do like MegaMan but I am more of a fan of the MegaMan X series. I was never good at these games. Though when MM5 gets released I may breakdown and buy it. It was my favorite of the old school games.
Might be a dumb question, but ...are these going to be in 3D?

No not a dumb question. I am pretty certain that these are not coming as 3D Classics. These would be coming to Virtual Console.

I second what aquizero said. It's not a dumb question. I think I've been asked that four or five times since I published this article. Like aquizero said, these won't be published as 3D Classic titles.
I havent played a MegaMan game in years..but Im pretty sure I wasnt very good at 'em. haha
