Still, this is another one of those simple updates. The lame "stability improvement" one. Those updates aren't bad, though, but I always anticipate them to have more of a "wow" factor and then I'm promptly disappointed when I check the update info on Nintendo Australia's website ;~;

Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen.
No. The 3DS Browser is not compatible with Adobe Flash, nor is it HTML 5 compatible. A Browser must support at least one of the two in order to display videos on YouTube.

Indeed. I don't understand why YouTube has yet to release an app for the 3DS...

Bingo! Not only is it not optimized, but the Opera Browsers for the 3DS (also DSi) completely suck...and they're incredibly slow. I do everything I can to avoid using the 3DS Browser. Hell, I'd delete it if it wasn't part of the Operating System.

Lol. Honestly, I do not mind the browser. I used it to search images only though. (Swapnote purposes).

That's only because Nintendo's too stubborn to have the browser tap into the software RAM when no software is currently loaded. I don't know how much RAM the browser uses, but if it's 8 MB, the browser could be 12x more efficient with the software RAM.

I don't think it's a matter of being stubborn. I feel that Nintendo never really cared to focus on this aspect. Now, with the Wii U, I believe they've finally figured out how to streamline and integrate all aspects of entertainment into the Wii U.

It should have been an update that you see on your main screen when you turn on the 3DS but you may be able to force the prompt by logging on to eShop
