New Super Mario Bros. 2 Tops 300 Billion Global Coins

By Kevin on Nov 20 2012 09:10 PM
Have you been to the official New Super Mario Bros. 2 website lately? The Global Coin counter has just topped a whopping 300 billion coins. The coin count is a collective measure of how many coins have been collected in New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the North America, European and Japanese regions. On September 12th, we reported that the coin counter hit 100 billion coins. The coin counter already has a trillionth-digit placeholder, so it's really only a matter of time before it reaches that point. Well done, Mario fans!

Wow that is a lot of coins.  This game is on my to buy list for January of next year (my birthday), if it is as fun as it looks then I plan on helping that coin count go up :D

Thats cool! @LadiSanchez. It is a very fun game.
They had it set up at Target so customers could play it and my son did, he wanted to go to Target just to play the game, I didn't get the chance to play so I don't know for myself, but I will take your word for it Candy...I want it!  Thanks..It did look fun when I watched my son play it.
This is cool. I need to really play my game more. :)

Me too.  We should play some 2 player.  That might get us some more coins.

It is very fun.  If you like Mario, then you will like this.  There's not a ton of difference in the actually platforming, but the game is refined.  The new coin count and trial stages just add more fun to a great game.

If it was online multiplayer than I would have said yes, of course. Though it is only local. :(

Lol. Yeah well all NSMB games have never been online. I do not see them being that way in the future either. I mean if you ever played with someone you understand the havoc that comes from it. Imagine not being able to converse properly? I doubt it would be a fun experience.

  Probably true.
Thanks I will surely get this game.  I was hoping it was an online multiplayer but it would be hard to play with someone you could not talk to right next to you.  There would inner chaos and frustration....the game will be mine soon though!
