Share your Animal Crossing: New Leaf images with Twitter and Tumblr.

In April, we reported that Nintendo released a new social tool called the Nintendo 3DS Photo Share service — a built-in game application that allows you to instantly share in-game images to social media sites Twitter and Tumblr for select Nintendo games.

In Japan, you can currently share in-games images for Animal Crossing: New Leaf (とびだせ どうぶつの森 Tobidase Dōbutsu no Mori) and Tomodachi Collection New Life (トモダチコレクション 新生活). Nintendo's 3DS Photo Share service can also be used with the North American version of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Currently, in North America, the only 3DS game compatible with this service is Animal Crossing: New Leaf. Hopefully, Nintendo will make others compatible via software updates or incorporate the feature into newly released games.

With a few simple steps, you can share your new Animal Crossing adventures with your friends, family, and the rest of the world.

1) Take a screenshot while playing Animal Crossing by pressing the L and R buttons at the same time.

2) Open the Internet Browser from your HOME Menu and go to https://i.nintendo.net/.

3) Log in to your Tumblr or Twitter account.

4) Select your image, add a caption, and press “Post.” That’s it!

* Your Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo XL system needs to be connected to the Internet.
* You must have an account in order to use Twitter or Tumblr.
* You may only post images and comments using Nintendo 3DS Photo Share.

You can see a good example of how I made use of the service here, via my Twitter account.

In approximately six hours, the North American 3DS eShop will open the flood gates for the digital version of Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which will also debut for retail and stores across the country.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. So awesome, just posted an image from animal crossing to Twitter.
I can already tell that the Internet will be exploding with even more animal crossing posts once everyone gets it!
Oh, Tumblr is all abuzz, let me tell you! There will be no shortage of images from this game. It's such a great feature! I, too, hope that more game in the future allow us to take and share screencaps.
I'm so glad I will be able to use Tumblr for this. Normally it's facebook all over the place.. I only have to wait a few more days to try it out though..
This is really cool! While ideally an app for the 3DS would be more convenient, Nintendo's choice of making this a 3DS-optimized web app means you can post these pics without exiting the game.

Now if they could just add Google+ to the list of available sites. Until then, you can always share the item from your Twitter feed to G+ manually.
way cool I got to get this game animal crossing is this ability still available?
