It's nice to see our friends down under getting some Nintendo love.

Ghosts, talking Pokémon, tropical island snorkeling, and intense battlefield strategy never sounded so good in the same sentence. In a recent Nintendo Australia news announcement, dated February 25th, official release dates have been revealed for some of the most anticipated 2013 3DS titles. Starting in March and lasting through June, one major 1st-party title will become available each month for purchase. Here's the schedule:

March 28th, 2013 - Luigi's Mansion 2
April 20th, 2013 - Fire Emblem Awakening
May 18th, 2013 - Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity
June 15th, 2013 - Animal Crossing: New Leaf

Thanks to LuffyFoxtrot for sending the tip!

From May through June

Whoops, little typo there, no biggie.

This is great! I just wish my friends in Australia could have had their own Nintendo Direct. And I wish I had more friends in Australia, it's such a cool place. Did you know both Austrailia and Massachusetts are Commonwealths? I have no idea what it means, really!

I wish places could get games on the same day, it stinks that we can't all enjoy games together in time. But I do believe that day is coming. With Animal Crossing I worry that they're going to censor it to death, scrubbing away the little silly things that make the game special. Maybe that's not a legitimate worry, I hope it's not.

They will for sure censor Michelangelo's "David" which is a real shame. Haha, no I'm serious! There's another statue in New Leaf that I expect they'll either remove or censor somehow as well. Oh, and the Tanooki statue for sure will be removed for North America. There are so many items that maybe it won't matter, but we'll always have Japanese screenshots to remind us.
I know if I lived in Australia I would have been a little upset that it took this long just for release dates but at least they now have them.

Australia, man. Australia. Nintendo of Europe in general is just terrible.
I hate being under the umbrella of NOE sometimes :(
Actually one aspect that really annoys me is that NOE handles the website, which includes our lacklustre club catalogue :(

Anyways, great to get official dates for Luigi and Fire Emblem :) can't wait!!

Yeah I kind of figured as much. Their Nintendo Directs are never really as good as NA or Japan.
Will have to make sure we all play multiplayer Luigi together :)

The typo I meant was that it should say "March" and not "May"... :P But now you have to leave it and see if anyone else notices. XD
