Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity Announced For 3DS

By Kevin on Dec 20 2012 10:47 AM
Remember the newish Pokémon Mystery Dungeon installment, titled Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Magnagate and the Infinite Labyrinth, released for Japan back on November 23rd, 2012? Well, it's coming to North America, with a new-and-improved, less-clunky title.

Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity will be be released for the Nintendo 3DS on March 24th, 2013, as retail or digital download from the Nintendo eShop. This newest title breaks the mold (Mold Breaker!) and fills the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon void for the Nintendo 3DS.

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity, you'll be introduced to an incredibly beautiful 3D world, inhabited by Pokémon...speaking Pokémon. You'll take on the role of a Pokémon yourself (Pikachu, Snivy, Oshawott, Tepig or Axew) traveling throughout the game, exploring towns and over 20 Mystery Dungeons.

Packed with hundreds of different Pokémon, tons of treasures and surprises await every step of the way. You'll even be able to recruit different Pokémon after battling them. Make use of the built-in Nintendo 3DS Camera by scanning different objects around you to discover Magnagates; circular objects in the real world that lead to entrances to new dungeons.

Join up with those nearby who are also playing Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity to explore the 3D world and tackle dungeons together. Up to four people can play at once and you're not limited to battling with your main Pokémon character; play as any one of the Pokémon on your team.
