By Kevin on May 14 2013 07:27 AM
A few days ago, we reported that four new Pokémon were revealed in the June edition of the Japanese CoroCoro Comic: Yanchamu (ヤンチャム), Yayakoma (ヤヤコマ), Gogoto (ゴーゴート), and Erikiteru (エリキテル). Today, I am proud to report that the Pokémon Company have provided us with the English names for those Pokémon.

I proudly present to you Helioptile, Fletchling, Pancham, and Gogoat.

Helioptile
Helioptile charges itself by bathing in the light of the sun, providing it with enough energy that it doesn't need to eat!
  • Type: Electric/ Normal
  • Height: 1' 08"
  • Weight: 13.2 lbs.

I am pleased with all of these Pokemon. I think Gogoat is particularly awesome. I can't wait to ride it in the game. The names are also not bad. Helioptile may take a while to get comfortable with but I am not worried.
i love all of them but how exactly do you pronounce Helioptile
I liked the Japanese Gogoto better than Gogoat. But I can just give my Gogoat the nickname of Gogoto and it'll be be pretty awesome.

You think the whole "form a strong bond with its Trainer's feelings when its Trainer grabs onto its horns," is going to involve the touch screen? Maybe?

Ferocious Fletchling. Cute.

As for Helioptile, listen, I never really know how to pronounce Pokémon names. I just give them nicknames and be done with it. I may call my Helioptile "Triangle" and be done with it.

(Originally I wanted to call it "Triangleface" but that may be too long.)

Woah! It's a real thing!

Sorry if I scared anyone. XD
They'll patch the new guys into Pokedex 3D (or just release a new Pokedex app for 3DS) after X and Y's launch. I'm certain of it. Then we'll all know how to say "Helioptile!" :D

I'm mentally saying it with a mix of "helium" and "reptile". Who knows?

What's happening? WHAT'S HAPPENING?! I'll tell you what's happening! This topic. It's evolving! You can...press the B button if you want, but it may be too late.

PastaFriend presses the B button. Nothing happens.

He presses it again. Again, nothing.

A few more times with no results, and then he begins to furiously press the B button. Tears form, and soon he is sobbing.

"I-I'm too late. I...!" he rocks back and forth now, unable to accept this terrible fate.
I guess we should talk about something else, then. :(

Hey! Did you know that Nintendo Nerds is the first result in Google when searching for "Helioptile?" It's true! Well, sometimes, we're second.
Oh, that's awesome!

It was second, but I clicked it so maybe we'll get back to #1. :)
