I have never played the series but it looks like something I would enjoy.

I am currently playing Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights that they shipped me. I am glad I did because I would be unhappy if I bought the game for keeps.

Unless your opinion changed about Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights, you might not like this game very much. From the trailers I have watched for Doctor Lautrec, it seems to be filled with puzzles and adventure, very much like the Professor Layton series. In fact, I'd even go so far and say that Doctor Lautrec and the Forgotten Knights seems to have been quite inspired by the Layton titles.
I have also never played a game in this series but it looks good. I do love the animated cut scenes. I love that style of animation. It is just fun.

Well, since you're a Zelda fan, I would say that you like to solve puzzles. The Layton games are just that. This might be right up your alley if you can manage to overlook the cheesy dialog and storyline.
