Moldorm! Great to see you again!
Moldorms, mazes, and a masterpiece in the making!

Yesterday, Nintendo divulged some seriously super-satisfying information during their Nintendo 3DS Direct presentation. The info was so good, it almost felt like June's Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 — the one big time of the year when high-profile companies such as Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft gather to share information about their current and upcoming products. Actually, it was quite more enjoyable than E3 in my opinion.

Perhaps one of the most notable highlights from yesterday was the announcement of The Legend of Zelda 3DS. The official title has yet to be revealed, but we do know that it's the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past — the popular Zelda title released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1991.

What some of us didn't know about yesterday though, was that there was a huge media event following the Nintendo 3DS Direct. And, not surprisingly, there was a playable demo for The Legend of Zelda 3DS. Popular gaming website, Games Radar, was lucky enough to get some of the action and share the footage with fans.

The gameplay looks so good. I am overly eager to get my hands on this game. I caught myself feeling a little uneasy watching some of the gameplay videos because of the music. That is exactly what I expected from this game. I have not played much of Zelda a Link to the Past but what I have played was flowing with musical genius. All I keep hearing in my head is "good things come to those who wait". I am sure that some of the ideas behind this game came from the developer really becoming comfortable with the 3DS hardware.
Looks like video game perfection!  I can't wait!!!
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past was one of those games that I played when I was a kid. It's incredibly nostalgic to hear the dungeon music and see everything re-imagined for the 3DS. I've honestly not gotten into a LoZ game since Link to the Past. I did buy Ocarina of Time 3D, and it's great, but I miss those bird's eye view RPGs like LttP or Secret of Mana.

It's just really exciting to think that this sub-genre is going to get something new and fresh. I never could have guessed a new LttP game. Nintendo, you done good!
Now this makes me want a 3DS.
Now here is a game to truly get excited about.  I can't wait for this one...

Nearly the exact same thing I thought of this.
But that roof is haunting me. I mean, it's really bothering me. There's no way it's not going to leak. I mean, you can't just put split logs together like that and call it a roof! I'm sorry. I can only assume that there's some kind of magic involved. Dark roofing magic.
WHAAT? Great. Now we're never gonna get Majora's Mask. Hmmph. I'll still play it, but I was really looking forward to MM. I would've thought there was more fan pressure for MM:3D than a LttP sequel.
Can't wait for this game to come out! I am a huge fan of this particular entry into the series and have beaten it more times than I feel comfortable admitting.

I love the fact that so far it looks like the locations from the original however I find the current graphics to be a bit shiny/polished.

I do realize that it is still in development and I know it is not going to keep me from buying it day one, but if I had to complain about one thing, that's all the ammo I have.
yessss! I want this game. NOW *w*
Yay I'm totally buying this
