Meloetta's soothing tune softly approaches! A wild, over-sized Pikachu 3DS XL appears in the distance! The word on the street is that there's some awesome Pokémon-related information coming to North America very soon. In fact, we're confidant that March 2013 will make North American Pokémon fans very, very happy. The tip came from a NeoGAF member about four hours ago. The member passed along some interesting info that was announced during a fan-created event called The Pokémon Day Chile 2013, held in Santiago, Chile, South America.

During Pokémon Day Chile 2013, a March Meloetta Wi-Fi distribution event was announced for two of the local Santiago video game stores. Historically, GameStop North America has held the exact same Wi-Fi events as the ones offered in Latin America. Participating GameStop stores will likely announce the same event very soon.

Also announced was that the Special Edition Pikachu 3DS XL is available for pre-order in Chile. South America uses the same exact 3DS hardware as North America. What we're trying to say is that Nintendo of America will likely make the same announcement in the coming weeks. So, if you've been holding out for the Special Edition Pikachu 3DS XL, your time is near.

While we typically refrain from reporting unofficial news, this is something that caught our eye. We have a knack for Pokémon. Expect to see official announcements very soon!

Pikachu is so flippin' cute. XD

But I have to get something off my chest: nipples. Not literally, mine are fine. But don't the two cameras on the Pikachu 3DS XL remind you of nipples? It bothers me. It's freakin' me out and I had to say something.

So there you go.

Meloetta, I look forward to meeting/capturing you. Are we meeting on White Version or the sequel? You are a cool-looking Pokémon.
If there is the off chance that North America doesnt get the pikachu xl. Would it be possible for me to play my games on the South American version since this says that they use the same exact hardware.
This would be a great thing if Americans could finally get there hands on the Pikachu 3DS XL. It is very cute.

Meloetta, I have been teased by you for over a month appearing on the anime show as a semi permanent character. I eagerly await the change to add you to my party and add your data to the Pokedex 3D Pro.
Yea teasing us with pokemon and not giving them to us!! (what am i complaining about? i only want it for the pokedex entry! It'll sit in my pc neglected regarless mwahahahhahahh) But the pikachu 3dsxl will motivate my friend to get one finally!

WHAT?! Really, Meloetta will just sit in your PC? No way! This Pokemon is one of the best especially since seeing it transform on the anime. Look at how awesome this Pokemon is.

Hahaha that is too funny. I love Sailor Moon too but there are so many anime with transformations. :) Ya know, I may have found this Pokemon more appealing because of its Sailor Moon inspired transformation! Though this Pokemon needs to sing a special song in order to do so. Anyway, I learned to love this Pokemon from the series. It has cute forms both with unique types.
Huh the Pikachu 3DS XL isn't out in America yet? I thought they usually got stuff before Europe it's been out in England since December I got one for £99 by trading in my old 3DS at Game. ^_^
I mentioned this many times; I want a 3DS XL, but, I am waiting for a special edition. I was disappointed the Fire Emblem Special Edition one was only a 3DS; I would have been all over an XL version. The next best thing is a Pokemon special edition 3DS XL - I'm all over that! Of course, a Zelda one or a Metroid one would trump it. ;)

I believe you've successfully answered your own question, there. ;)

Areas in the "Americas" all use the same software. These areas include North America, Canada and South America. All areas in the Americas, external to the United States, import software from the USA.

For example, the game cards in Canada and South America will have the serial # XXX-XXXX-USA printed on them.
Good to know, thanks for the help. I just wanted to make sure i wasn't spending my money on something that i could'nt use.

No problem.

So you're going to order the Pikachu 3DS XL from South America, instead of waiting until it becomes available in the US?
I want to ensure i get one Just in case there is the unlikely chance that the US doesn't get it.
