Today's Club Nintendo news puts Luigi on the back burner.

A new round of rewards are now available for Club Nintendo North America. From now until June 2nd, 2013, you can redeem Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars for 200 Club Nintendo Coins. This classic action Role-Playing Game (RPG) was first released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) on March 9th, 1996. And, on September 1st, 2008, it was released for the Wii Virtual Console service for the price of 800 Wii Points (equivalent to $8.00).

Also worth mentioning are three other games that are available as redeemable Club Nintendo rewards:
  • Maboshi's Arcade (WiiWare) - 150 Coins
  • 3D Classics Excitebike (3DS eShop) - 150 Coins
  • Art Style: Aquia (DSiWare) - 100 Coins
Will you be redeeming Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars or any of the other new rewards for your hard-earned Club Nintendo Coins?

Also, keep in mind that if you've already purchased these titles from the Wii Virtual Console service, they can be transferred to your Wii U at no charge. If you wish to use Miiverse and Wii U functionality, however, you'll need to pay a small upgrade fee. Upgrade fees for NES titles are $1.00 while SNES titles are $1.50.

I wish Super Mario RPG was available for the 3ds and not just the Wii.

Very likely SMRPG will find its way into the Wii U SNES Virtual Console library in the future.
I never played this game but currently have no interest in it.
I thought it was pretty fun. Nothing to get toooo excited about though.
Just got this game and i'm excited to play it because I never played it before.

That's a great attitude. I wish more folks had that kind of thinking. I'm a firm believer in giving any game a fair chance. Good on ya, Candy. It's supposed to be magnificent by the way. I haven't played it either, but I've heard nothing but good things about it so I'm also looking forward to it.
I thought this game was fantastic. It was a great change for of pace for the Super Mario series. Now I'm a sucker for SNES RPGs, but this is in my top 3 all-time favorite mario games. The deeper storyline was good to see unfold, the minigames were fun, and it all added up to make a memorable experience. My only complaint would be that it was too short. I recommend it without reservation to any mario or old school rpg fans out there!
nv played it but ive heard nothing but good things.. except about the forest maze? youtube Mario rpg and there is a cute music video about it..
