Reggie and Miyamoto-san to put a new spin on the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3).

According to a recent Press Release (PR) sent out from Nintendo, President and Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Nintendo of America, Reggie Fils-Aime together with legendary video game designer, Shigeru Miyamoto, are scheduled to make a pre-E3 2013 appearance. The two will share some opening remarks at their booth, where fans will get the chance to get some exclusive hands-on experience with upcoming Wii U titles.

We already know that Nintendo isn't participating in their typical series of E3 presentations for this year's E3 event. According to a previous statement from Iwata, Nintendo plans to host "a few smaller events that are specifically focused on our software lineup for the U.S. market. There will be one closed event for American distributors, and we will hold another closed hands-on experience event, for mainly the Western gaming media."

Nintendo Press Release said:

This year, Nintendo is taking a different approach to E3. We’re giving you the chance to get closer to the games through a unique hands-on experience at our booth before the show opens.

Sounds cool!
Well if this is a Nintendo Direct I am sure it will be packed full of fun and surprises so I am not worried in the least that they are not having a typical presentation.
This sounds very intresting.
My apologies, everyone. For some reason, I had Iwata on my mind while composing this article. I've updated it to reflect Miyamoto.

Oh, does Shigeru-chan work for Nintendo? It says he is a deseigner but I am not sure. Sorry for if I asked a bad question. I'm curious.
Shigeru Miyamoto is a major figurehead at Nintendo and may even be considered the face of the company by a large number of people. He is the guy that created Super Mario and The Legend of Zelda, among others, after all.
