James Rolfe, or more commonly known as the Angry Video Game Nerd (AVGN), has recently had his official YouTube account shut down.

When attempting to visit the angry nerd's YouTube account, you're greeted with a page that says, "This account has been terminated due to repeated or severe violations of our Terms of Service." Apparently, he just posted a video not too long ago. I wonder what this is all about.

The video was one featuring Mike Matei giving off his first impressions of the new XBox 360 game, Dark Souls. This is how bad these companies are getting. Nevermind the fact that it was a first impressions video and nothing more, but the fact that they have this game footage paranoia that is so frighteningly bad that they'll even take down videos promoting free publicity for the game. You know, when all the studies (because some have come out for music already) come out showing that "game piracy" and video footage of games has little-to-no connection to game sales, I wonder what new excuse game companies are going to latch onto.
I never followed this man on YouTube. I think I stumbled on to his channel once. I was not really interested but still... it is sad that his account was taken down.
I'm not exactly sure what happened, or why he managed to get his account terminated in the first place, but he's back. I'm sure Classicgamer will continue to live now.
