Americans — specifically those residing in the United States — are generally perceived as being overweight and not-so-enthusiastic: lazy. That perception is, sadly, mostly true for many reasons. Flooded fast-food joints line just about every street corner, gym memberships are often only used a handful of times before becoming an item of conversation during an all-you-can-eat dinner buffet and diets are often broken almost immediately.

In fact, if you asked the average US citizen what they'd rather be doing they would likely reply with something like, "Playing video games," "watching TV," or "enjoying some fine dining." Listen, my fellow Americans, you love The Legend of Zelda franchise more than you love your own food: there's no denying that. The proof is, dare I say, is in the pudding. According to Amazon.com's best selling books, The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia (releases tomorrow Jan 29, 2013) is the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae. Other such books pertaining to weight loss and sports can be seen dripping down the sides of the list. If you're not sure what The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia is all about, here's a description from Amazon.

Amazon said:

Dark Horse Books and Nintendo team up to bring you The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia, containing an unparalleled collection of historical information on The Legend of Zelda franchise. As a bonus, The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia includes an exclusive comic by the foremost creator of The Legend of Zelda manga - Akira Himekawa!

Here's a bit of food for thought. The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia has been listed on Amazon's top-100 best-selling books list for 92 straight days. And, at the price of under twenty bucks for the hard-covered masterpiece, you can indulge in some serious Zelda franchise history.

I want that other hardcover, the brown one, it comes out Feb 12, 2013.
This is great. I may eventually get it.
I have the brown one, it was expensive but so worth it.
By far the funniest thing I've read in awhile! I'll get mine tomorrow or Friday, then I'll probably pass it down to my future kid someday. There's no excuse for not owning this sometime down the line!
I saw it at the College bookstore, but didn't have enough money on me.  I'm getting it tomorrow, though. I'm so excited! :D
