Wasn't this supposed to be the year of Luigi?

Pokémon of Japan have released the first official trailer for its upcoming toy Pokémon game titled Pokémon Rumble U (ポケモンスクランブルU Pokémon Scramble U in Japan). The video is just over two minutes in length but shows some amazing footage. Unlike its previous WiiWare title in the series, Pokémon Rumble, the gameplay for Pokémon Rumble U maintains a smooth and constant frame rate regardless of the amount of activity on the screen. The toy Pokémon are bright, shiny, and beautifully polished and the level backgrounds are vivid and lively. The new video also shows off how the NFC figures are used with Wii U GamePad's Near Field Communication (NFC) interface.

Pokémon Rumble U will be released in Japan on Wednesday, April 24th at the cost of Â¥1,800 Yen, which is approximately equal to $19 US Dollars. At this time, there is no release information for any of the other regions. Stay tuned for more details very soon.
