Roughly three hours ago, a series of Tweets from Nintendo of Japan infested the Twitterverse. Three Tweets were sent out from Global President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, stating that a Japanese Nintendo Direct will be happening on Thursday, September 13th at 4PM JST. This happens to take place before any of the other conferences that the other regions are having. Let's have a look at the Tweets that were sent out by Iwata-san.

Oh Japan! How I sometimes loath you for getting everything first!
So, that should be about 5 PM here in Australia. Hopefully enough time to watch the whole thing before checking out the European/Australian Nintendo Direct at midnight on Friday.
I'm firing up my currency converter for this event! :D

Don't be surprised if you crap yourself when Iwata reveals the price. You can blame that on the very strong Yen rate that Japan currently has, and has had for more than a year. And, unfortunately, retailers do not adjust prices based on the Yen rate. If they did, the price of items over here would be adjusting at a daily rate.
Nintendo Japan will be airing a Wii U Preview Nintendo Direct at 11 PM on their time, which will coincide simultaneously with the New York event and the European Nintendo Direct. This second streaming event will focus on upcoming first and third-party software, while the initial presentation, which is just under two hours away, will be focusing on the console itself.

You can catch the Nintendo Direct over here.

Actually, the Japanese Nintendo Direct for the Wii U Launch Presentation starts at 4PM JST, which is in about 40 minutes. ;)
What I was describing was a second streaming event that takes place after the Launch Presentation, that's set for 23:00 on its respective page. I suppose this wasn't the right place to mention it.

Ohh...right! I see that now. Yes, you mentioned it in the correct place. Thanks, Luffy!
