The new patch will have you up and running in no time!

For those who have Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien, the long-awaited software patch is now available for the game. The patch fixes a multitude of bugs including the lock-up issue and leaderboard scoring inconsistencies. To install the patch, simply run the game and the new patch will be prepared and installed automatically. The entire process only takes a few short minutes.

According to Gaijin Games' Alex Neuse, the patch addresses the following issues:
  • At the start of the game, when it asks you if you want to log in, we've added some feedback so it doesn't look like the game is hanging.
  • The leaderboards will only save your highest score, as expected, instead of your most recent score, which it does now.
  • If you lose your Internet connection during play, we've allowed you to reconnect by going to the leaderboards menu.
  • We've fixed false score reporting for in-game Rewards.
  • We've fixed an issue with the level start mini-leaderboard telling you you're offline when you're actually online. It will populate this list with global scores if you don't have any friends who have played the game yet.
  • We've fixed an issue in the settings menu that resets your settings every time you enter the menu.

I'm kinda disappointed that I can only play this through Steam at the moment, since Gaijin hasn't yet applied for a classification through the Classication Board. Steam doesn't employ region locking for some strange reason, unlike the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, Sony Entertainment/PlayStation Network and Nintendo eShop. I was looking forward to playing this on my Wii U, but I'll have to live with the PC game for now D:

According to one of their Tweets, it's coming "soon." Too bad they haven't given any other info on that though. I'm glad that you're at least able to play it. How are you liking it?
It's fun to play. Though I am having issues with keyboard controls suffering from input lag in the main stages and fairly regular grapical lag. It throws off my timing as I have to press the jump button half a second earlier than I would normally think to. May just be my laptop, may be the game itself. I'm not certain at this point.
