Ubisoft Confirms Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist For Wii U

Sam Fisher is back. This time, he's coming to Wii U!

In a recent press release, Ubisoft have confirmed that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist is coming to Wii U. Last October, rumors started when Wii U box art for the game was found on GameStop shelves. While a preview trailer was shown off at E3 2012 and confirmed for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, the Wii U version wasn't officially confirmed until today. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist is scheduled to be released for Wii U in North America on August 20th, 2013 and in Europe a few days later, on August 22nd.

PARIS — April 10, 2013 — Today, Ubisoft® confirms that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell® Blacklistâ„¢ is coming to Wii U on August 20 in North America, August 22 for EMEA territories and August 23 in the UK. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist on Wii U will deliver a unique gaming experience that puts players in the role of special operative and 4th Echelon leader, Sam Fisher.

Showcasing enhanced gameplay features using the Wii U GamePad controller, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist allows players to operate innovative gadgets, execute Killing in Motion efficiently to take out enemies and move through the environment, and intuitively switch between weapons, among other features. The GamePad touch screen along with motion-based inputs are sure to immerse fans and gamers alike in this thrilling modern-day adventure.

I do not play these game but the more games on the Wii U the better.
I'll give it a try. I know the series has been on the market for a while but I have never managed to take the time to play any of the games.
