Pokémon X and Pokémon Y Info

On December 30th, 2012, the final concluding seconds of a Japanese television commercial (TVCM) for Pokémon Black 2 Version and Pokémon White 2 Version revealed that major Pokémon news would surface on January 8th, 2013. At first, many believed that the news was solely related to Japan. Not too long after, the major news became a pedestal for worldwide gossip. Everyone, and I mean everyone, was delivering the news by both social media and word of mouth. This was truly a great experience.

It didn't take long before we all realized that this was a big event; likely the greatest in the history of The Pokémon Company. Ten days later, all the speculation and nerve-wracking anticipation finally breached the surface and became reality. As we anxiously awaited the 10-minute, first-ever Pokémon Direct presentation, we would all soon be shocked at what was finally revealed.

At exactly 8:08PM JST (Japan Standard Time), Global President of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata, officially revealed two new 3DS Pokémon titles; Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. These would become the first titles in the main-series of Pokémon video games to debut for the Nintendo 3DS. Mr. Iwata-san also announced that these new titles would make a simultaneous global release in October of 2013 for each of the major regions; North America, Europe and Japan.
